This design is inspired by a 17th-century binding that originally housed the Bustan (known in English as The Orchard) by Persian poet Saadi. Written entirely in verse, the stories are rich in moral thought. The intricate botanical patterns of this design beautifully reflect the fruits of Saadi’s wisdom.
